The Montgomeryshire Conservative Association held a function on Saturday evening with over 75 people attending. The event, which took place outside thanks to the beautiful weather, welcomed Kay Swinburne MEP as its Guest Speaker.
Kay gave an interesting update to members on the state of the Eurozone and also talked about the European Parliament elections which will take place next year.
Ian Harrison, Chairman, thanked all of the people who had worked hard to make the event such a success and to all of the members for turning out to support the Association. Speaking after the event, he said:
"I am delighted that this event has been such a great success. I am deeply grateful to Robert Harvey for offering his lovely home as a venue and I think I speak for all of our members when I say that this was a hugely enjoyable evening.
"Our thanks to Kay for such an interesting speech. We have welcomed Kay to many of our events in recent years and she has been incredibly supportive of the Montgomeryshire Association. We always look forward to seeing her."
