Unfortunately, Lord Hague is no longer able to attend my meeting at Newtown Football Club on Saturday. William was as disappointed as I am, but nothing we can do. The Prime Minister feels that she needs him with her in London on Saturday and Sunday. He is keen that we should arrange another similar event after the election (irrespective of the result!)
We have decided to continue with the event, which will be informal and politically non-partisan. However, I will speak at around 6.15 to welcome you and emphasise the importance of this General Election. I hope you will still come along even if the “star” guest cannot now join us.
The evening will start at 5.00pm.
The football club bar will be open.
