Montgomeryshire Conservatives enjoyed a great weekend at the Spring Forum, which was combined with the Welsh Conservative Conference, in the SWALEC Stadium in Cardiff.
Montgomeryshire MP Glyn Davies was the fourth person to speak at the conference, participating in a panel discussion about the 'Yes' result of Wales' referendum. Cllr Simon Baynes, President of the Montgomeryshire Conservative Association, chaired the dicussion.
The whole conference was a huge success, with many leading members of the party, including the Prime Minister David Cameron, underlining their enthusiasm for Wales. Mid-Wales received a number of mentions, including a great amount of support for the wonderful Trefeglwys Community Shop which MP Glyn Davies will be opening later on this month. Speaking with Assembly Candidate Russell George, David Cameron expressed his support for Montgomeryshire, saying he looked forward to seeing the result.
Cameron promised that he would "wage war on the enemies of enterprise" by creating a number of 'enterprise zones' to encourage business across the country. He also urged Welsh voters to come out to vote on the 5th May, and to not let Labour take Wales for granted.
